Role Description

As a People Operations administrator, you manage the many moving parts of the hiring process for Magic. You’ll work hand in hand with the Head of Talent to staff and onboard all new Magic talent, ensuring that Magic has the best talent in the land. You’ll collaborate with the Head of Talent to make Magic culture one that supports every team member in living their best lives while creating a massive positive impact in the world. 

THe Nitty Gritty

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Proficient skills in Google Drive and Asana or similar project management tool 
  • Experience onboarding new employees 
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Recruitment Admin
  • Schedule interviews with potential candidates
  • Keep recruitment pipeline in Asana up to date
Hiring & Onboarding
  • Serve as line of communication between new hire and Magic throughout onboarding process
  • Fully onboard new hires onto Magic systems 
  • Acquire necessary legal and tax documentation from new candidates in order to stay in compliance
  • Communicate new hires to Bookkeeper and Accountant to ensure tax documentation and compensation is up to date and in compliance
  • Collect data on cost per hire and time-to-hire
  • Maintain onboarding pipeline in Asana
General Admin & Projects

  • Stay up to date and on top of all necessary people ops admin work
  • Address people ops admin issues that arise on  the team 
  • Support in developing projects and systems to continually improve Magic’s recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process
Magic Culture

  • Coordinate logistics for Magic events, parties, and retreats
  • Collaborate with Head of Talent to research, develop, and implement on-going culture initiatives
